Allan Kingdom Drops Peanut Butter Prince EP

Stream Allan Kingdom’s new project Peanut Butter Prince.

Winnipeg native Allan Kingdom has been making waves in the industry for a while now, working with the likes of Kanye West, Flume and Jared Evan. Now he’s released his new project Peanut Butter Prince, the follow up to 2016’s Northern Lights.

Consisting of 6 tracks in total, the tape contains no guest appearances, while production is handled by G.O.O.D. Music’s Anthony Kilhoffer.  Speaking with Hypebeast, Kingdom explained his vision for the project, “I just wanted something everyone could relate to, but at the same time felt empowering I feel like a lot of stuff now is exaggerated: it’s either too soft or too hard. And, just soulful; I’ve just been told I have an old soul, so I wanted something soulful that would hit home … not too soft or too hard, just right in the spot.”

“I was kind of getting bored with what’s going on now. I’ll listen to what’s going on now, and when I get tired of it, I’ll just go in the past and find something new. Bobby Womack, Issac Hayes, and all those types of artists. I remember just hearing some of those songs that I used to hear growing up, and listening to them again just brought back memories of being a child.”
