The Nike SB Dunk High Gino is releasing later this month.
To celebrate the Nike SB Dunk’s 15th Anniversary, Nike Skateboarding is bringing back for original SB Dunk Low colorways as Highs. One of those is the Nike SB Dunk High Gino.
This pair comes dressed in a combination of Black and Dark Blue, like the og release designed by pro skaters Reese Forbes, Danny Supa, Richard Mulder and Gino Iannucci.
Iannuci spoke about the upcoming release and his work with Nike SB in the past. ‘You can imagine how good it felt. The biggest sneaker company in the world asking Reese, Richard, Supa and myself to come up with our own spin on the Dunk. There was so much to absorb being on the Nike campus for the first time,” he said. “My intro to the design team was interesting. We all sat round table and just talked shoes and skateboarding. It was intimate and the vibe was very humble and easy going.”
He continues “I just wanted to use colors I knew I’d actually wear and perforated leather I have always loved. The suede and leather combo seemed solid, so it was as simple as that.”
When speaking about the new edition, Iannuci said “When there’s a true love for something you understand the importance of respecting the past as well as embracing the future.”
Stay tuned for this colorway to land at select Nike Skateboarding retailers on July 27th. Take a look at the Nike SB Dunk High Gino below and let us know what you think!
