Kanye West’s Fashion Protegé May Inherit Riccardo Tisci’s Role
It’s kind of fitting that someone who helped streetwear become the high fashion Wunderkind it is today should take over a high fashion powerhouse like Givenchy. Virgil Abloh is the perfect choice, coming up between both worlds and understanding each.
With their previous Creative Director, Riccardo Tisci, leaving the label, Abloh is in talks to fill the role. Speaking to WWD, Abloh said, “My trajectory is to update and provide something new in the fashion industry by way of creating a project and using it as a case study on how to update a luxury house.”
