YG Faces Lawsuit Over Two Tracks On ‘My Krazy Life’

A poet who worked on the YG album has hit him with a lawsuit over refusal to compensate him for his work on the album.

Henry Richard Russell says he met YG in 2014 and helped out on the album. This included allowing YG to use two of his poems ‘Gladiator’ and ‘Bitch! Who Do You Love?’ for the tracks Bicken Back Being Bool and Who Do You Love?

YG told him he was unable to pay him at the time so the two agreed that Russell would get a share of future revenue. He claims that since then YG has refused to give him his share.

The lawsuit names Def Jam, UMG, DJ Mustard as well as 400 Wayz, YG’s company. Russell is seeking an injunction to stop him making money off future sales of records featuring his work as well as hitting him with a Copyright Infringement and Fraud accusation.

It’s a lot of trouble for YG considering the quality of the work he got out of Russell. The guy claims a blood set and tries to start words with Bs instead of Cs but only does it half the time.
