Gucci Mane will release a memoir soon.
Following his release from prison, Gucci Mane has been back on the music scene in full force. From releasing a new album to the recent news he will publish a memoir, Gucci has been unstoppable.
During an interview with Hot 97 last week, Gucci first announced the news. “I just did a book deal with Simon & Schuster,” he said. “That’ll be coming out at the top of next year. I did a whole autobiography. I wrote it while I was locked up.”
Speaking with The FADER, Simon & Schuster confirmed the news. “Simon & Schuster is thrilled to publish Gucci’s story in his own words,” the spokesperson for Simon & Schuster said. “Gucci Mane is one of the most influential and revered hip hop artists in the world. His impact on American music is profound. This will be a major memoir revealing the life and times of the artist and man, chronicling his youth, ascent to the top of the Atlanta trap scene, incarceration, struggles with addiction and personal rebirth.”
At the moment no further details of the upcoming memoir are known. Stay tuned for additional information to be revealed in the coming weeks.
