Chris Brown has been denied entry into Japan over his ongoing assault investigation.

Chris Brown is due to perform in Tokyo, Japan next week. However his recent assault with a deadly weapon charges have resulted in him being denied entry.

Brown is currently being investigated by the LAPD, following a widely publicized incident where he allegedly pulled a gun on a woman at his home.

Now TMZ reports the country has a low tolerance to allowing those with a criminal background enter. Sources also said Brown’s legal team believe the police are taking things slowly because they have no case against him.

This isn’t the first time the singer’s been denied entry into a country. Back in 2015, he was faced the same issues with Australia.

Minister for women, Michaelia Cah said: “People need to understand if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you: `You cannot come in because you are not of the character we expect in Australia.’”

Back in 2010, the singer was also banned from the UK. This was after he was sentence to five years probation for beating Rihanna.
