Gene Wilder has died at 83.
We’ve lost many legends in 2016, from singers to boxing legends to actors. Comedy actor Gene Wilder has died, at the age of 83, his family has confirmed.
The actor was best known for his roles in “Young Frankenstein,” The Producers,” “Blazing Saddles,” “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and many more. His collaborations with director Mel Brooks and actor Richard Pryor were some of his best work.
The Oscar nominated actor died at his home in Stamford, Connecticut, due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Wilder’s nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman said in a statement that Wilder was diagnosed with the disease three years ago. He also said Wilder kept it private to prevent disappointing fans.
